How many Tovas are too many?

Last weekend I made another 2 Tovas…  I keep seeing great fabric and thinking "that would be great for a Tova or a Tank" and before you know it I now have 6 hanging in my wardrobe!!

The fabric is by Kei that I got from the wonderful Treehouse Textiles.  The quality is just beautiful.  I had fun playing with the stripes and did them in the opposite direction on the front placket and even managed to match them up properly!  It feels very orange when I have it on - I think I'll have to pair it with a navy cardigan until I get used to it :)

Then I spotted this gorgeous modified Tova over on Angela Fussy Cut's blog.  I decided to make one up in some Sweetwater Reunion that I got on sale.  I decided to do pleats on the front instead of gathering it and I love how this turned out.

I think I should stop now…

If you want to see the different order I make the pattern in you can find my notes here.

  2. Haha -- I don't think you can ever have too many tovas, can you? They look great -- and really different too -- what a difference the fabric makes!

  3. Saw your washi top on flickr, came to see your other Wiksten tops. Great job! Good eye for fabric. So hoping to have equal success.
