Antrorse

I fell in love with this pattern immediately!  It's from the gorgeous Journey knits by Shannon Cook and Jane Richmond.

I'd bought the yarn for one project and had started another when this pattern was released.  Since I don't really stash sweater quantities I can never really start a pattern as soon as it's released.  It suddenly occurred to me that I had the perfect yarn already on my needles!  I hadn't done a lot of that project so it got frogged and Antrorse was started!

The yarn is Plucky Primo Aran in Oatmeal.  It's beautiful!  The Primo has 20% cashmere and is perfect!  Oatmeal is a perfect natural colour too with quite a bit of variegation.  I alternated skeins every row once I started the body.

The pattern is well written and easy to understand.  It's my first yoke sweater construction.  This would definitely be a great pattern for a beginner wanting to jump into sweater knitting!

My project notes are all on the Rav project page so if you want the technical goodies head over there.

  1. Oh, Michelle, I love it! I plan on it being my first knit of 2014. I read your notes on rav and see that you didn't add length. I like the length of yours but wasn't sure if I'd need more yarn to get mine there. Yours is perfect!
